The Indian team arrived at Kangra Airport on Thursday ahead of the primary ODI against Afghanistan, with an enormous crowd of fans gathering to welcome the players. Supporters were especially excited to identify stars like Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill and KL Rahul. The opening ODI can be played on the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
Before travelling, the Indian players trained in Mohali, where Rohit had recently rejoined the squad after clearing his fitness test on the Centre of Excellence. When the players arrived in Dharamsala, Team India’s latest travel kit also grabbed attention.

For Prince Yadav, Harsh Dubey and Gurnoor Brar, this marks their first ODI series with the national side. Prince was seen walking behind Rohit while leaving the airport. Fans, nevertheless, will miss Virat Kohli, who was initially named within the squad but needed to withdraw as a result of injury. Hardik Pandya can also be unavailable due to an injury.

Shubman Gill Overtakes Yashasvi Jaiswal to Change into India’s Top-Ranked Test Batter

Kyle Jamieson and Ollie Robinson re-entered the rankings at twenty second and twenty third respectively, while Recent Zealand pacer Nathan Smith surged 16 spots to forty third.
Within the ODI rankings, Abrar Ahmed climbed to second amongst bowlers after a six-wicket series against Australia, while Shaheen Afridi moved as much as ninth. Nathan Ellis and Nahid Rana also made big gains, while batters Kusal Mendis, Janith Liyanage and Tanzid Hasan improved their rankings.
