Whew, Roomies! Latest York City might need a collective doctor’s appointment after what went down Saturday night. Between the screaming, crying, praying, pacing, and emotional support chopped cheeses being consumed across the five boroughs, Knicks fans were put through a level of stress often reserved for MTA delays and rent increases. The celebs were out at Madison Square Garden too, with Fat Joe, Stephen A. Smith, and an entire lot of famous faces witnessing history in real time because the Knicks pulled off the largest comeback in NBA Finals history. And judging by a few of these celebrity reactions, you’d think they personally checked into the sport and logged 40 minutes.

Fat Joe Said, “You’re Welcome” To The Knicks

Fat Joe has been celebrating the Knicks championship like his contract cleared. From “We Are The Champions” captions to “never quit” motivational posts, to even pulling up on the Knicks coach’s chain and posing like he was a part of the staff, Fat Joe has been fully outside claiming every ounce of this win. At this point, he knows deep down he contributed to this—because just just a few days ago, he was absolutely not about to let anybody leave that arena without giving him some credit.

Based on Joe, his dancing — and possibly the blinding reflection coming off his jewelry — distracted Victor Wembanyama enough to miss two critical free throws late in the sport. Now, are we saying that’s what happened? No. Are we saying Fat Joe believes that’s what happened? Absolutely! The funniest part might need been watching Stephen A. Smith attempt to process the reason in real time. Roomies, it takes quite a bit to depart Stephen A. speechless, but Fat Joe almost completed the unimaginable.

Stephen A. Smith’s Suffering Has Been Canceled

For a long time, Knicks fans have watched Stephen A. Smith suffer publicly. Every season brought one other rant, one other meltdown, and one other declaration that the franchise was testing his patience and shortening his lifespan. But Saturday night?  He was emotional. Standing on the court because the Knicks celebrated their first championship in 53 years, Stephen A. admitted he never truly believed he’d see the day. He reflected on all of the misery, frustration, and heartbreak Knicks fans endured over time before finally attending to witness the last word payoff. And truthfully, Roomies? Seeing Stephen A. talk without yelling for once might’ve been one of the vital shocking moments of the night. Almost!

Not Spike Lee Celebrating Like He Got here Off The Bench

LOOK AT THIS MAN. No seriously, have a look at him. Spike Lee was jumping, celebrating, shouting, and living his very best life. At one point he looked less like a filmmaker and more just like the team’s unofficial mascot. Even should you’re not a Knicks fan, it’s hard to not smile watching someone who has supported this franchise through every possible high and low finally getting the moment he’s been waiting a long time for. During one emotional interview, Spike repeatedly slammed his hand on the table and shouted, “We did it! We did it! We did it!” And the quantity of Knicks gear he had on? Roomies, he was wearing enough team merchandise to qualify for a roster spot. At this point, we’re convinced Spike was a Knicks player in a past life and easily got here back because the world’s most dedicated super fans. One thing’s obviously: no person in Madison Square Garden was happier than Spike Lee.

Jordyn Woods Was In Her Feelings All Night (And Rightfully So)

Roomies, amid all of the confetti and chaos, Karl-Anthony Towns had one mission: find Jordyn Woods. After sharing a moment together with his father, KAT might be seen scanning the court until he spotted his fiancée, and the 2 immediately embraced as the fact of the Knicks’ championship began sinking in. Jordyn appeared emotional after they pulled apart, and truthfully, who could blame her? Later, while taking photos together, she joked, “Two rings in a single yr,” seemingly referencing each her engagement ring and the championship. Meanwhile, KAT was smiling so hard he looked like a child on Christmas morning who one way or the other got every gift on his list.
