Backstage News On Mike Santana’s TNA Contract

As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE has shown significant interest in signing reigning TNA World Champion Mike Santana, whose current contract with TNA Wrestling is ready to run out in July. A brand new report has shed additional light on the timeline of his deal.

In response to a report from Pwinsider, Santana’s contract is scheduled to run through mid-July, meaning that the expiration date is quickly approaching. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Santana stays focused on his championship reign and is slated to defend the TNA World Title later this month at Slammiversary 2026 against former champion Nic Nemeth.

Along with his contract nearing its end and WWE reportedly keeping an in depth eye on the situation, Santana’s status is predicted to be one of the crucial closely watched stories in the approaching weeks.

TNA Slammiversary 2026 takes place on Sunday, June 28, from the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, and can air survive pay-per-view.
