John Cena Reveals The One Thing He Misses About WWE, Kayla Braxton Calls Out Creepy Fans

Former WWE broadcaster Kayla Braxton has spoken out about fans who follow WWE talent to hotels and airports.

During a recent appearance on the “Inside The Ring” podcast, Kayla said the creepy behavior makes her feel unsafe and declared that this sort of access goes too far because it crosses a private boundary.

You’ll be able to try some highlights from the podcast below:

On the difficulty of fan accessibility and fans following them at airports and hotels: “I do know they like — there’s just like the boundaries. They only don’t — the accessibility that they’ve, I feel, is an actual problem. Like they shouldn’t have the opportunity to point out as much as your baggage claim or wait for you on the airport. Or like follow you as much as your rooms on the hotels. Like these items have to be stopped. But I don’t know. They only keep happening.”

On times she has felt unsafe: “They’ve got to figure that out, man. Cuz there there was too again and again like I felt like really unsafe, and people — I mean rather a lot — all the women do and the blokes, and again it’s like they’ve this sense of accessibility. In order that they’re not — it’s going to worsen. Have again going to the airport at 5:00 a.m., leaving a SmackDown and having some dude with 40 bikini photos of me with their child right next to them that needs to be in bed because they know in the event that they had their kid with them, we may not say no to them. Like, get a clue.”

On how she began coping with autograph seekers: “Well, I mean, I might start — Nikki Cross taught me this once cuz she would really like to be like cuz they’d bring you a number of posters to sign. ‘You already know, they’re going back to resell them.’ I feel it was her. Possibly it wasn’t her, but any individual on the roster was like, ‘I’ll sign one for you.’ And that’s it. Because I do know you’re about to go sell them. ‘I’ll sign it for you, and I’ll personalize it to you because here you go. Here’s a courtesy that I don’t even owe you, but I’ll give this to you. I’m not about to make you a bunch of cash to sign to sell more photos of me.’ And that’s type of how I began working, too.”

On who was the perfect at doing interviews done in a single take: “You already know was really good? LA Knight. LA Knight really good at ‘one take and done.’

On her last interview with LA Knight: “He was the one who — my final interview with LA Knight, probably my second last show. Got me in some trouble. And I do know, they were backstage like, ‘Did you forget your lines?’ I’m like, ‘No! I didn’t forget my lines, he added an entire recent–‘ And with us like, I’m attempting to stay on stay on target but he’s just so good on the mic.

“And truthfully, I take fault for that because I must have just rolled with it. But I used to be like, ‘I’m not saying Yeah. I’m not saying it back to you.’ Because within the segment, he was degrading me. So why would I say — I’m pondering as an actor and as a distinguished broadcaster in the corporate, Kayla Braxton wouldn’t sit there and let him talk like that to me, and me be like ‘Yeah!’ So I’m like, ‘I’m not saying it.’”

On the response: “In order that’s exactly what my thought process was, and so they’re like, ‘Did you forget his tagline?’ Did you think that I forgot his tagline? But I didn’t actually get in trouble. Nobody was mad at it. If anything, I feel they only thought it was really funny. However the fans definitely got mad at me. The IWC, I’ll inform you what.”

During a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show,” John Cena was asked if he misses the physical side of wrestling.

Cena replied that he truly misses the group energy and the sensation of walking through the curtain. He said,

“No! What I miss is the audience, the energy that I feel if you come through the curtain. I miss these things. I needed to walk away because I can’t get body-slammed anymore. It was time. Yes, indeed!”
