The countdown to India’s most talked-about jail has officially begun! Ahead of the June 27 premiere of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, Netflix today threw open the gates to its high-stakes reality universe at an exclusive press conference. Bringing together the creative forces or the ‘masterminds’ behind the show and the personalities tasked with running the country’s most unpredictable jail, the event offered the media a primary have a look at the drama, strategy, and chaos set to unfold over the approaching weeks.
Lock Upp FIRST 3 Inmates Revealed!
Taking centre stage were the creative genius behind the show – creator Ektaa Kapoor, Netflix India’s Vice President – Content, Monika Shergill, and the formidable duo getting into the role of Jailers, Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan. Co-produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd and Colosceum, Malaya Pradhan helms the mantle of the Executive Producer for this captive reality show.
Fourteen inmates. Six weeks. Two Jailers. One Lock Upp. Here, comfort is earned, not given. Inmates must complete tasks to earn in-game currency required for basic necessities corresponding to food, supplies, and privileges, turning survival itself into a method. However the game’s most volatile currency is ‘truth’. Set in a world where nothing stays hidden for too long, the sport tests how contestants navigate revelations that may either strengthen their position or leave them vulnerable.
But no prison reveal is ever complete without the arrival of inmates! And this time, the suspense reached an all-time high as not one, not two, but three inmates were revealed to the audience. Each reveal brought a fresh wave of intrigue, offering a glimpse into the unpredictable personalities able to step behind bars.
The thrill was palpable as Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, and Desi Bling breakout star Pamala Serena were unveiled as the most recent inmates of Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa. And don’t call Pamala ‘Pammi’ just yet – you’re not that close!
