Former India captain and star batter Rohit Sharma was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour. Rohit received the award from President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Recent Delhi for his outstanding contribution to Indian cricket.
The 39-year-old attended the ceremony in formal attire, with Narendra Modi also present among the many dignitaries. Rohit walked as much as receive the honour and greeted the Prime Minister before collecting the award.
