Justin Bieber crashes NHL Draft to announce No. 1 pick

Justin Bieber made fellow hockey fans jealous on Friday, June 26 when he got the chance to be a component of the 2026 NHL Draft.

The singer, who is a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan, announced the No. 1 pick through the ceremony at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, Latest York.

“What’s occurring Buffalo? What’s up Toronto? The kid in me is ecstatic right away, I’ve been a Leafs fan since I used to be a bit of boy,” he told the gang.

Bieber announced that Penn State’s Gavin McKenna had been drafted to the Toronto Maple Leafs because the No. 1 overall pick of the 2026 NHL Draft. McKenna walked out to Bieber’s Grammy-nominated “Yukon” and greeted the singer and NHL commissioner Gary Bettman.

The singer also joined McKenna during his press interview and shared with the gang how necessary this moment is for him. “Being here’s a dream,” Bieber told the gang.

The “Daisies” singer also promised the gang that next season he plans to sport a McKenna jersey to a Maple Leafs game.

Following McKenna’s big night, he told the press how he felt within the moment and to find out about his recent city.

“Just excitement,” McKenna said. “Last night was a crazy night, I used to be so excited the entire night and just numerous energy, but yeah, Toronto is a tremendous place. They love their sports, love their hockey team and have so many passionate fans.

“I’m excited, and even once I’ve been in town before I used to be drafted, people were coming as much as me and asking for photos. I’m excited to satisfy all these people and get comfortable in town.”

Well, McKenna goes to must get used to fans coming up for photos as his weekend didn’t end with the NHL Draft. He also got an introduction to MLB fans this weekend when he threw the primary pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, June 27.

As for Bieber, he just got off of his headlining Coachella set back in April in support of his two albums: Swag and Swag 2 he released last yr. Fans at the moment are anticipating that the singer will go on tour but he has yet to make an announcement.
