Ethyn Ewing ruled out of UFC 329

A bantamweight bout between Farid Basharat and Ethyn Ewing was scheduled to happen at UFC Vegas 119 on June 20.

Their matchup was moved to Conor McGregor‘s comeback card as a result of undisclosed reasons.

Now, it’s been cancelled, and UFC 329 is right down to just 12 fights, in the intervening time.

“Ethyn Ewing is out of his fight next week vs Farid Basharat as a result of injury,” Best Fight Picks reported on Monday. “UFC is currently in search of a substitute to face Farid.”

Ewing’s injury and the seek for a brand new opponent for Basharat were subsequently confirmed by veteran MMA journalist Damon Martin.

“Ethyn Ewing is OUT of his fight against Farid Basharat next week at #UFC329, per multiple sources telling me and @MikeHeck_JR,” he tweeted. “UFC is actively looking for a substitute opponent, but nothing done yet. Ewing’s injury first reported by @BestFightPicks.”
