Fallon Henley has change into a multi-time champion in WWE with a shiny future ahead, despite almost never pursuing a job with the corporate.
During a recent edition of the “What Do You Wanna’ Talk About” podcast, Henley recalled how deaths in her family nearly modified all the things. She said,
“Yeah, so it’s form of crazy, form of happened out of nowhere. I even have twin sisters who aren’t any longer with us. The primary one passed in that yr, and that was right before I got the decision to do the additional work that began back up. That got me my third tryout before my enhancement match with Elektra.
“It was a extremely hard time. Like I said, it form of got here out of nowhere. Essentially, all of her organs shut down. She got rushed to the hospital, and before we knew it, she was gone.”
Her sister who passed left behind two daughters, who had already lost their father, leaving the family in a really difficult situation. She said,
“I used to be over in Tampa, and that’s where they’d been living on the time. And the one options they really had were to go to Michigan to be with my mom, go to California to be with certainly one of my other sisters, or come and stick with me.”
Henley, despite only being 22 on the time, brought the sisters to Tampa to assist raise them, but this made things difficult when WWE got here knocking. She said,
“So after I got that decision to do the additional work, I mentally was not in a spot where I assumed I could do it. And I almost said no. And had I said no, I wouldn’t be here straight away, I wouldn’t be on SmackDown. I wouldn’t be doing any of the things that I’m doing.”
Henley is a former WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion and a former WWE Speed Women’s Champion, now competing on SmackDown.
