Ryan Seacrest Skipped Taylor Swift’s Wedding After RSVPing

Ryan Seacrest bumped into a significant dilemma when it got here to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

On the Monday, July 6, episode of his syndicated radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol host revealed that he was indeed invited to attend the A-list wedding but needed to cancel after being booked to host Disney’s coverage celebrating the 250th anniversary of America across its stable of networks, including ABC.

“Travis and Taylor got married. I had to maintain a secret from you,” Seacrest, 51, told his cohosts on Monday’s radio broadcast. “It was a confidential invitation to everybody that was invited. So whenever you were doing all of your reports concerning the wedding, I used to be just on the within screaming, outside very composed.”

He explained, “I RSVP’d to go, after which Disney hired me to do the 4th of July 250 special on the third and the 4th, so I needed to cancel.”

Certainly one of Seacrest’s cohosts called the situation a “waste of an invitation,” while one other said he must have done each.

“I used to be actually really excited. I used to be sort of torn,” Seacrest admitted.

“Trust me, I went through the minutes. I couldn’t have done each,” he continued. “And the actual wedding was within the afternoon. But I used to be so honored and thrilled to be invited.”

Seacrest went on to disclose that he bumped into Swift and Kelce, each 36, after receiving his invitation and confirmed his attendance in person, making his eventual cancellation all of the more awkward.

“You realize, the irony was, after I RSVP’d to the marriage, I saw them at dinner at a restaurant and we talked concerning the event — ‘cause we didn’t say [wedding] out loud — and she or he was like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be a lot fun. We’re gonna have the perfect time. It’s gonna go late,’” he recalled. “I’m like, ‘I cannot wait. I’m so excited.’ I met Travis for the primary time, actually. He was sitting within the booth next to me.”

“I RSVP’d yes. I saw them a few weeks later to substantiate. Then I needed to cancel,” Seacrest added. “But I had no alternative. It’s a part of my job at Disney to do these items.”

While Seacrest wasn’t among the many 1,000 who celebrated Swift and Kelce’s union at Madison Square Garden in Recent York City on Friday, July 3, the couple had loads of star power at their wedding.

The couple’s ceremony was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler, Swift’s rep confirmed to Us Weekly last week, while guests included Swift’s BFF Selena Gomez and her husband, Benny Blanco, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran, Sombr and more.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who was among the many guests, recently revealed the sweet advice Sandler, 59, gave the couple as they said “I do.”

“He told them to ‘keep kissing,’” Reid told reporters on Sunday, July 5. “In its simplest form … it’s hard to argue whenever you give your wife a kiss or your wife gives you a kiss. And be sure to do it every single day.”
