Paddy Pimblett has not even needed to compete to get just a little richer during International Fight Week.

The previous interim UFC lightweight title challenger is one among the marquee names set to be in motion at this Saturday’s numbered event on the T-Mobile Arena.

Within the UFC 329 co-main event, Pimblett will face Benoit Saint-Denis, because the pair set the stage for Conor McGregor’s long-awaited comeback.

‘The Baddy’ can have his eyes on securing a $100k bonus together with his performance, but he’s already picked up just a little extra money due to a victory over Daniel Cormier outside the cage.

After seeing how Paddy Pimblett performed against Justin Gaethje, do you expect him to ever turn into UFC lightweight champion? 🤔

Paddy Pimblett wins $1k from Daniel Cormier due to USA’s FIFA World Cup loss to Belgium

While MMA’s leading promotion stages UFC 329 in Las Vegas, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is playing out across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

The tournament recently found its way into fight week discussions due to a friendly wager between Pimblett and Cormier.

In accordance with a recent UFC post on X, the pair agreed on a $1,000 bet for the USA’s round of 16 match against Belgium.

Pimblett emerged on the suitable side of that deal after the European side thrashed the Americans 4-1 in front of over 66,000 fans on the Seattle Stadium.

“I used to be crammed with unnecessary confidence watching us beat Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Cormier said after greeting Pimblett within the video posted to social media.

“S—. Bro, I owe you money. I owe you $1,000. I’ll give it to you.”

A triumphant Pimblett called Cormier a “man of his word” after being handed the total winnings.

Pimblett will hope that is just the beginning of his lucrative exploits in Las Vegas this week.

After losing to champion Justin Gaethje of their interim title fight this past January, the Scouser might want to bounce back to winning ways if he desires to stake a claim for a rematch against ‘The Highlight’.

To succeed at UFC 329, Pimblett must end Saint-Denis’ lengthy streak of wins. The Frenchman has had his hand raised 4 times in a row, a run that features a 13-second knockout of Beneil Dariush and submission of Mauricio Ruffy.
