Donald Trump has warned he could also be assassinated by Iran as he’s the regime’s ‘primary goal’.

Speaking at a news conference at the top of the Nato summit in Turkey, Trump said: ‘Iran had leaders, they’re gone. And so they had one other set of leaders; they’re gone.

‘Now they’ve one other set of leaders. They might be gone. Who knows? And you recognize what? I could also be gone too, because I’m their primary goal.

‘It’s out in every single place. I’m their primary because they’re scum. That’s the best way they act, and that’s the best way they’ve done it for 47 years.’

Trump also rejected that the war with Iran had been a ‘strategic dead end’, saying that he thought it was the ‘opposite’.

‘The Iran war has been an amazing military success,’ he added.

Yesterday, Iran said it had launched attacks on 85 US military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait after the US carried out fresh strikes on multiple industrial vessels on the Strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command said they began the assault to ‘to impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking industrial shipping crewed by innocent individuals in a global waterway’.

Multiple oil tankers were targeted yesterday and today, the UK Maritime Trade Operations confirmed.

Now, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has framed its latest motion as retaliation for what it called a US ceasefire violation.

In a press release, CENTCOM said: ‘Iran’s demonstrated aggression was unwarranted, dangerous, and a transparent violation of the ceasefire.’

The attacks got here hours after the US said it could reinstate sanctions on Iran due to the strikes on ships.

In late June, the US and Iran have accused one another of violating the terms of the ceasefire after the 2 countries exchanged fire

Days after Trump signed a peace agreement with the country, US Central Command (Centcom) declared it had hit multiple targets across Iran.
