Kenny Omega Is Your Latest AEW World Champion

Kenny Omega is once more at the highest of All Elite Wrestling.

The primary event of this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Beach Break featured one of the crucial anticipated television matches in company history, as AEW World Champion MJF defended his title against Omega. The bout carried enormous stakes for “The Best Bout Machine,” who entered knowing that a defeat would permanently end his possibilities of difficult for the AEW World Championship again.

The closing moments were crammed with drama. MJF attempted to show the tide along with his Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Will Ospreay sprinted to ringside and snatched it away before Friedman could use it. Omega then found himself holding the championship belt and had the prospect to strike MJF with it, but selected to not.

MJF capitalized with a low blow before smashing Omega with the title belt. Despite the illegal attack, Omega stunned the group by kicking out on the count of 1.

Omega quickly recovered and nailed MJF with three consecutive V-Triggers before delivering the One Winged Angel to attain the three-count and change into the brand new AEW World Champion.

The loss ends MJF’s third AEW World Championship reign after 46 days. He regained the title from Darby Allin at AEW Double or Nothing 2026 in May.
