“Love Island USA” Season 8 contestant Corbin admits his elimination felt “humiliating.” But unlike other recently dumped couples like Jen and Gal, Corbin left feeling longing for the longer term while holding hands along with his Casa Amor connection, Parmida.
“I see this connection going super far,” Corbin tells Variety. “Her mindset, oh my gosh! She’s an entrepreneur. I like ambitious women — the incontrovertible fact that she has an entrepreneurial mindset, she wants a number of things for herself, she desires to be top dog within the business world and I’m like, ‘This is gorgeous!’”
It was right down to the wire in last Sunday’s episode between Corbin and Parmida and Zach and Kayda after each couples were voted because the least compatible, as decided by a fan vote. Kenzie and Dylan were also included on this group, but were saved because they won the karaoke challenge.
Corbin’s friendship with Sincere was put to the test during movie night, which showed a montage of clips from the islander’s private conversations. Sincere’s clips showed him leading on two different islanders, Melanie and Sol, which especially woke all the blokes as much as what was really occurring.
“He was telling us one thing, Melanie one thing, telling everybody else one thing but they’re all different stories. You’ll be able to’t have that as a friendship. I forgive but I don’t forget,” Corbin says. “I told him within the chats after, ‘Listen. That was your one probability. I do know what you probably did, you’re in an experience, you’re having fun, you’re thinking that you’ll be able to get away with it, that’s cool!’”
Following his elimination, Corbin spoke with Variety about his eventful time within the villa, the status of his friendship with Sincere after his true character was exposed throughout the scandalous movie night segment, and his response to the web (and the villa!) dubbing him “CorbinGPT.”
It’s been just a few days because you’ve left the villa. How have you ever adjusted to getting back in the actual world and seeing people’s thoughts on social media?
A day within the villa is like every week, for real. So the incontrovertible fact that I’ve been there for the time that I used to be, coming out of the villa felt more like a protracted day. You’re trapped within the villa, you’re seeing these islanders each day, you’re doing the identical thing almost. And then you definitely’re coming out to the hotel where you’re being held. It just seems like one dream, to be honest, since you don’t do half the stuff you do in there in real life. You don’t exit to the bar and begin kissing on six random girls back-to-back-to-back-to-back, you realize! So it was a crazy experience coming out.
We saw you and Parmida leave together, holding hands as a pair. In the times together, have you ever been spending time together? Where do you see this connection and relationship going?
I see this connection going super far. The incontrovertible fact that we’re within the villa and we’re experiencing these challenges together, experiencing conversations with one another each day — and I do know some chats haven’t been fully shown through episodes — but the very fact [is that] Parmida and I do know what our chats are. We understand how deep we are able to get into them. That, obviously, is making me more confident in getting into the actual world along with her and experiencing this whole journey of life that we’re gonna explore.

What drew you to Parmida out of everybody in Casa Amor?
To be honest, now we have the identical morals. She’s very straightforward, I’m straightforward. We don’t like liars. We wish to be as straight up as possible. And we all know we’re gonna step on some people’s toes, but it surely’s like, we’re being honest. Sometimes the reality hurts, you realize? But nonetheless, we also know that you just need someone like that in your corner. So the incontrovertible fact that her and I just try this and we understand that, it means we’re so real to one another. We don’t beat across the bush. So at any time when we’re in a conflict, or there’s some misalignment within the conversation, we’d each be direct and tell one another, “Listen, that is what’s occurring.” So it just makes the method easier as an alternative of somebody who might shut down and just not need to speak or need to beat across the bush because they don’t need to hurt your feelings.
Her mindset, oh my gosh! She’s an entrepreneur. I like ambitious women — the incontrovertible fact that she has an entrepreneurial mindset, she wants a number of things for herself, she desires to be top dog within the business world and I’m like, “This is gorgeous!” Coming from an entrepreneur myself, I’m like, “Oh! You understand me, you understand what we undergo!” Then other than that, she’s very gorgeous from head to toe. So I feel we each complement one another in that way.
Walk me through what was going through your head during your elimination. Were you surprised that the islanders selected not to avoid wasting you guys versus Zach and Kayda?
Bro, that was probably the worst approach to leave the villa! It was humiliating. We got here last in karaoke. I don’t dance, I don’t sing, so for me to go sing and dance and for Parmida to go sing and dance, after which get eliminated — I used to be like, “Holy fuck!” I just feel humiliated, you are feeling me? Once I was standing next to Zach and Kayda, that was a time after I knew my fate. I knew it because I used to be battling not with a connection or compatibility, I used to be battling with time. Everybody’s seen Zach and Kayda from the beginning — Zach’s an OG, Kayda is rattling near an OG, and the islanders have seen them construct with one another until karaoke night. With me, I’ve been through a reference to Kenzie, Melanie after which Parmida, you realize? Parmida and I actually have an incredible connection, they usually’ve all known and seen it, but it surely was so fresh and recent to the islanders.
After which the islanders needed to line up next to who they vote [to keep], so then I began seeing everybody just pile onto Zack’s stuff. It hurt to see, but nonetheless, I knew what the reply was. But the actual life-changing moment was after I had KC and Titi stand next to me because KC and I actually had a bond, an incredible brotherhood in that villa. Naturally, he’s helped me change into more comfortable with the villa scene, with the islanders, being myself and stuff. So the incontrovertible fact that I had my boy within the corner along with his girl, and the incontrovertible fact that all 4 of us experienced Casa Amor — that was heartfelt obviously. I fuck with him, that’s my brother obviously!
One moment that got fans talking, in fact, was movie night. Specifically with all the pieces that went down with Sincere and the way he was leading each Sol and Melanie on. You furthermore may voted Sincere and Melanie as one in all the least compatible couples.
That was a tough thing for me to do because I used to be like, “Rattling, that is my boy and I’m voting him out, rattling!” But I needed to take a step back and ask, “Who am I?” I’m someone who holds people accountable. I’m someone who’s straight up and I took that probability as a way for me to only tell my boy, confer with my boy, confer with Sincere and Melanie about how I used to be feeling about how I see their connection. At first I didn’t need to! When Parmida hit me with the concept to vote Melanie and Sincere, I needed to take a step back like, “What the hell is occurring? That’s my boy!” But I used to be crowded by my friendship. I listened to Parmida talk about her pros and cons about her decision and I stand by her. She felt strong in that, I also felt the identical way so I’m gonna stand behind my woman. I didn’t even have anything going through my head after I was speaking, I couldn’t even take a look at Sincere!
He was telling us one thing, Melanie one thing, telling everybody else one thing but they’re all different stories. You’ll be able to’t have that as a friendship. I forgive but I don’t forget. I told him within the chats after: “Listen. That was your one probability. I do know what you probably did, you’re in an experience, you’re having fun, you’re thinking that you’ll be able to get away with it, that’s cool!” But I told him as a bro, “I’m holding you accountable. I’m being one in all your realest friends right here, telling you what you’re doing is flawed and it’s affecting the blokes, me and your connection.” And he respected that call. We’re still gonna be bros. Now in the longer term, will I be hesitant on believing things that he’ll say? He has to indicate me through his actions. And leading into the skin world, I’m still gonna have his back. If we ever get into something where persons are talking about Sincere, I’m gonna have his back. But now I told him, “Because I’m having your back and I’m being 100% with you, you bought to be 100% with me so we’re on the identical page.” Now it’s his image onto me as well and I told him that. He understands.
You had a transparent reference to Melanie earlier within the season. Do you foresee Sincere and Melanie being together after the show? Even Parmida called their relationship “toxic,” do you agree along with her assessment?
Once I first got there, I used to be hearing rather a lot about Melanie doing certain things and Sincere felt some style of way about that. Then coming toward the tip leading as much as movie night, it was more about, “Sincere doing this, Sincere doing that now,” in order that they each had their problems in several scenarios. I mean, it’s toxic obviously, but I do feel the incontrovertible fact that they went through it in here, after they get to the skin world they’d understand one another. It’s only a select few folks that undergo this experience, so the incontrovertible fact that they went through it together goes to [create] a bond with them. The incontrovertible fact that they’ve been through so many ups and downs contained in the villa was essential because he didn’t have the distractions. But he tried to play into all of the distractions — bombshells, Casa Amor. He sees how that affected his reference to Melanie. This was like a pretrial, almost, for him to undergo his mistakes and know what he has to vary in the longer term.
Have you ever seen that individuals online are calling you CorbinGPT?
Yeah, I’ve seen the CorbinGPT stuff and it’s crazy. I need to say something because I do know online they’re talking rather a lot about, “Oh, now we have the within scoop of what the world’s saying about us!” From how being called AI began was after I got here in as a bombshell. The blokes were like, “Bro, we’re at the fireplace pit and all we see is you, walking all the best way from the front of the villa just walking!” They described, “You’re walking slow, you look confident as hell, no facial expressions, you only look good, like a fucking lightskin! Like they grabbed you from Mount Olympus and just dropped you in here within the villa!” After which they’re like, “Yo, all of your mannerisms, the way you’re walking was so animated, it was so AI, you only got generated from a lab and just dropped here in ‘Love Island!’” After which I suppose because I don’t move in my sleep, they’re like, “Oh dog, you’re rebooting!” They usually began running with the joke and everybody began taking it within the villa. Nevertheless it is funny seeing it out on the skin! It’s funny because I’m just being me at the tip of the day.
Lastly, who’s your winner prediction for Sunday night?
Bryce and Trinity are really strong due to incontrovertible fact that they were the primary couple to really make it official and be boyfriend or girlfriend. I used to be there during that have and the best way they did it was amazing, I actually think they do have something for one another. I’ve been with Bryce in Casa Amor, I’ve had all of the heartfelt chats that he desired to have with the blokes and his feelings about it, so I understand how much he really does like Trinity. I actually do think they’re going to take it home, but nonetheless, KC and Titi are pretty strong! Even from Casa Amor to the time that I left the villa, they’ve been rock solid. Now they’re put in my position where it’s a brand new couple versus a pair that’s been here for a while. I need to see those two, obviously, battling head-to-head.
