Conor McGregor’s much-awaited UFC return against Max Holloway didn’t impress. At UFC 329 on Jul. 11, 2026, McGregor made his five-year-long return to the Octagon against his former rival, Holloway. Battling major controversies and injury setbacks, McGregor injured himself again just seconds into the match.
Inside 69 seconds, McGregor injured his ACL and was ruled out of the fight. Now on the receiving end of several trolls and online attacks, McGregor has finally broken his silence with a video. On his thirty eighth birthday, McGregor took a sip of his energy drink together with his wife before turning the camera on himself and promising a return. “We’ll be back,” McGregor claimed. “Within the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let’s go.”
As of now, there are not any confirmed return updates on McGregor’s return.
UFC legend Daniel Cormier believes Conor McGregor won’t be returning
Recently, while speaking on his YouTube channel, UFC legend Daniel Cormier explained why he isn’t sure about Conor McGregor making one other UFC comeback. “In case you ask me truthfully, I’m more more likely to let you know guys that it’s not gonna occur than it’ll occur. He’s very unique and I believe the entire week showed that he’s the largest star we now have and the entire week showed that. I just wonder if he even does try to come back back once more, do people even buy into it again and say they wanna see Conor McGregor go at it another time? It really sucks as well, because the cardboard itself was insane,” Cormier said.
