Pop star Britney Spears has been the topic of rumors that she has been cloned for years. After getting her start on “The Mickey Mouse Club,” the Princess of Pop went on to dominate the entertainment industry with hit songs like “Oops!… I Did It Again” and “…Baby One More Time.” After her controversial 13-year conservatorship, she has largely faded from the highlight and has repeatedly stated on Instagram that she has “retired” from the industry. That being said, she still appears in Instagram videos, often dancing in her home. Some fans have taken to social media to insist that it’s not actually Britney in those videos, but a clone. Now her son, Jayden James, is speaking out about those rumors.
Britney Spears’ son Jayden doesn’t appear to be too completely happy with rumors that his mother has been cloned, although she’s removed from alone. Actors like Jim Carrey and Selena Gomez have also faced similar accusations that they’ve been replaced with clones.
“I hop on TikTok, and I see this one video that has 1.2 million likes, and the caption is like, ‘The most important theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?’” Jayden said during a July 17 livestream, per screen-recorded footage obtained by Us Weekly. “Like, bro, you’ll be able to go to her page and see her immediately.”
He went on to call the accusation “ridiculous,” adding, “It makes me know that plenty of the stuff on media is exaggerated and pretend.”
As an alternative of blaming fans for believing the “crazy” conspiracy theory, he put the blame on the media for benefiting from “gullible” people.
“People understand how gullible individuals are, they usually use that to their advantage,” he said within the video. “Anyone that sees it on media, they only see it and if it has plenty of likes, they [believe] it. They don’t even research it, they’re just, ‘Wow, yeah, it’s crazy. I imagine it.’”
Jayden’s brother, Sean Preston, didn’t comment on the accusations. Britney shares each of her sons along with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
Britney Spears Is Repairing Her Relationship With Her Sons
Although the “Toxic” singer had a notoriously difficult time raising her sons attributable to complications stemming from her court-ordered conservatorship, it appears they are actually working to repair their relationship.
Following her March 2026 DUI arrest, Spears’ rep said that her sons were spending time along with her. Weeks later, a source told Us Weekly that the pop star had decided to examine into rehab after “several conversations” along with her sons.
“They expressed concern about her recent behavior and urged her to hunt skilled help, which has been long overdue, to get her back on the right track,” the insider shared. “All they’ve ever wanted for his or her mom is health and happiness, even throughout the years they were estranged. They hope she’ll take it seriously.”
Britney Spears’ Sons Made Their Paris Fashion Week Debut
Earlier this 12 months, Jayden and Sean made their debut at Paris Fashion Week. “She wasn’t there with us, but she sent us flowers to our hotel as luck thing, and called and texted us so over and over,” Jayden told Vogue. “It was good to have that and to hold that with us before we went on the market.”
He went on to say that the “Lucky” singer was “so nervous” for her sons, but went on to say, “She was just searching for us and ensuring that this was what we desired to do.”
When asked if their famous mother gave any suggestions before their big debut, Jayden said, “I feel like she knew we had it,” adding, “She was like, ‘Yeah, you guys are my sons. You’ve got this.’”
Each Sean and Jayden walked the runway together throughout the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show on June 26. Us Weekly reported that Jayden wore a white tank with light-wash jeans. Preston wore a black dress top and an extended jacket over blue jeans.
Britney’s Sons Are Interested In A Music Profession
Looking back, Jayden said he could “master my walk higher” and felt “stiff” attributable to his nerves. “But Preston and I try to do music and other things,” he said, noting that a modeling profession might be not in his future.
Sean Preston added, “I don’t know if it’s something that I’m super obsessed with, but I do know I had plenty of fun doing it. Music is the inspiration of every part for me. Jayden and I actually have done music our whole lives, and we definitely gravitate towards that greater than the rest.”
