Lataa Saberwal REACTS To Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao Not Knowing The Meaning Of Vivah

When asked about her Vivah co-star Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao not knowing what the meaning of marriage was, Lata Saberwal said, “Initially, he’s a really, very sweet boy. He’s a really caring person and in addition very humble. He all the time got here across as a really sweet guy. Truthfully, it was never like, ‘Haan, major star hoon,’ or anything like that. He never behaved that way or made anyone feel it. He would just sit normally with all of us. All of us used to eat together, and sometimes we’d even go for walks. Din bhar bilkul waise hi hansi-mazaak hota tha jaise ek family mein hota hai.”

She continued, “Amrita, again, was quite simple. Her mom was there; my mom was also there, in actual fact. So we were all very family-oriented people—quite simple, sweet, and honest. I’d say that each one of them were extremely honest people. Mujhe lagta hai ki wahi honesty unke characters mein bhi dikhai deti hai. Somewhere, that honesty reflects on screen since it’s there inside them. Aur haan, uss age mein shayad unhe sach mein shaadi ka matlab poori tarah nahi pata hoga. Lekin mujhe lagta hai ki shaadi ka asli matlab samajhna waise bhi bahut mushkil hai. Especially with this recent generation, I feel it’s getting increasingly more difficult.”

In an exclusive interview with Sooraj Barjatya, the filmmaker revealed the Vivah leads were unaware of what the word ‘vivah’ or marriage meant. It was probably because of their young age.
