Barry Hearn has now insisted that Eddie Hearn was right to indicate the contract clause in Joshua’s deal that a super-fight with Fury should be held within the UK.
“Well, in Eddie Hearn’s world, all the things’s feasible,” he told Sky Sports.
“You recognize, he’s not like his dad. He’s not conservative. He’s not boring. He just goes out and does amazing things.
“We’d adore it in Wembley, in fact, and that’s what we’re fighting for. We expect this can be a fight for British fans predominantly, even though it’s a worldwide fight so far as boxing’s concerned.
“The British fans have been very patient. They’ve put up 10 years of waiting for this. So, we’re hoping that they’ll follow the contract terms, which specify in AJ’s contract that the fight must happen within the UK.”

Hearn, who’s Joshua’s promoter, dismissed speculation across the Fury fight being held outside of the UK after revealing that ‘AJ’ was “quite insistent” along with his stance.
“Turki Al-Sheikh is paying the bill, and it’s an extortionate one, so it’s started working for him,” he told Sky Sports in June.
“But we signed up for the fight to happen within the UK, and it’s very clear inside our contract that that’s where the fight has to occur.
“Now, if there’s one more reason why it is likely to be more useful for us to do it in America, we’ll have those conversations. For the time being, there’s been no request for that.
“AJ was quite insistent that the fight happen within the UK, and that’s why we put it into the contract.”
Joshua can be heading to the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia for his upcoming encounter with Kristian Prenga on the weekend.
