AMC Global Media has acquired the U.S. rights to Catherine Zeta-Jones‘ upcoming revenge thriller series “Kill Jackie.”
Starring and executive produced by Zeta-Jones and co-produced by Steel Springs Pictures and Fremantle, “Kill Jackie” is ready to premiere this fall on AMC+ within the U.S.
Based on Nick Harkaway’s bestselling novel “The Price You Pay” (which he wrote under pseudonym Aidan Truhen), the series follows Jackie Price (Zeta-Jones), “who has spent the last 20 years living a quiet, luxurious existence selling positive art while remaining anonymous after escaping a criminal past,” in response to its official synopsis. “Her rigorously constructed world is shattered when she discovers that The Seven Demons, a squad of ruthless assassins, have been hired to kill her. Jackie might want to unleash her old instincts and execute a dangerous plan to take down the Demons.”
Alongside Zeta-Jones, “Kill Jackie” stars Daniel Ings, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Bill Paterson, Ron Perlman, Óscar Jaenada, Hattie Hook, Darci Shaw, Raff Law, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Karlis Arnolds Avots, Set Sjöstrand, Tadashi Ito, Sebastian Armesto, Julian Barratt, Gavin Spokes, Jonathan Cake and Bamshad Abedi-Amin.

“Kill Jackie” is co-created by Conor Keane (“North Sea Connection”), Tom Butterworth (“Gangs of London”), Peter Lawson (“John Wick”) and Damon Thomas (“Killing Eve”). Alongside Zeta-Jones, executive producers include Lawson and Jose Agustin Valdes for Steel Springs Pictures in addition to Butterworth adn Thomas with Rebecca Dundon, Dante Di Loreto and Jeffrey Levine.
Lawson and Lorenzo De Maio of De Maio Entertainment negotiated the deal and co-manage U.S. sales. Fremantle handles sales in all other territories.
