Sammy Guevara’s AEW status has turn into the topic of speculation after a subtle change to his social media profile left fans wondering if something is going on behind the scenes.
On July 19, Guevara posted a transient message on Twitter that simply read, “recent bio.” Fans quickly noticed that his updated profile not referenced AEW. As an alternative, his bio now reads, “World Champion, Husband, Father & Skilled Wrestler.”
The change immediately fueled rumors, though there was no official indication that Guevara has left the corporate or requested his release.
In response to a report from Bryan Alvarez, there may be uncertainty inside AEW itself concerning the situation. He said,

“Truthfully, man, that’s obviously not my call. But every time they do determine to call — I feel the last time I used to be on AEW was once I wrestled Darby [Allin] for the World Title. I used to be given a pair hours notice, and I just tried to do the perfect that I could, you realize? And so anytime I am going on the market, I try to provide you a show such as you’ve never seen before. Because that’s what I do. I’m Sammy Guevara, ‘The Spanish God.’ , I feel I’m the perfect, so, yeah.”
