Will Sheamus be joining All Elite Wrestling once his time with WWE involves an end? Don’t bet on it, in response to AEW/ROH star Brian Cage.
Sheamus’ WWE deal will expire this October after 19 years under contract. He reportedly turned down a restructured deal that will’ve seen him earn significantly less.
On Twitter, Cage shared footage of him delivering a giant kick on AEW Collision, and made it clear that fans expecting Sheamus should prepare to be disillusioned.
Cage might not be flawed in his assertion, because it has been reported that some in AEW aren’t thrilled at the thought of bringing Sheamus into the fold.
The idea is that, with so many individuals already in AEW/ROH, a lot of whom struggle to get regular TV time, bringing within the 48-year-old wouldn’t be a wise move.
Sheamus signed with WWE in 2007. He’s a former WWE, World Heavyweight, United States and Tag Team Champion.
He’s one in all a select handful (alongside Brock Lesnar and Edge) to win Money within the Bank, the Men’s Royal Rumble, and the King of the Ring tournament.
