Daniel Cormier was met by Khamzat Chimaev when he entered the Octagon to conduct his post-fight interview with Abubakar Vagaev.
The UFC Abu Dhabi commentator was shocked to learn Chimaev can be playing the role of translator for his teammate.
“Are you gonna do the translating?” Cormier asked the Russian superstar.
“Oh my goodness, Khamzat is translating,” he added when Chimaev confirmed his unlikely role.
‘The Wolf’ will not be a native English speaker, but he smashed his first day on the job as a translator.

Khamzat Chimaev wants his title back
Khamzat Chimaev lost the UFC middleweight title when he suffered his first profession defeat in May.
Sean Strickland edged out a shock split decision victory once they fought within the UFC 328 important event.
Since then, Chimaev has been relentlessly campaigning for a right away rematch for the 185lb belt.
It’s currently unclear if the UFC will book Strickland vs. Chimaev or go in a distinct direction.
