The Nashville Predators have a brand new general manager in Chris MacFarland. And he didn’t waste any time attending to work on his recent team. This summer, he made a slew of moves, including an intriguing trade with the Dallas Stars for young forward Mavrik Bourque.
Bourque involves Nashville with somewhat hype behind him. The Predators recently signed him to an enormous contract extension. And he’s coming off a 20-goal season with the Stars. The long run is definitely vibrant, but MacFarland is not seeking to add more to his plate than crucial.
“I feel where he can get to shall be as much as him, but we feel he doesn’t need to be anything aside from what he’s been,” MacFarland said, via NHL.com, when asked about Bourque’s potential. “He was a 20-goal guy last yr. If he can just are available in and replicate that and be a part of that younger core, that may excite us, whether that’s second-line center or middle-six winger or whatever.
