Emma Roberts is revealing intimate details about her wedding day after her father, Eric Roberts, confirmed that he didn’t attend his daughter’s big day.
Emma, 35, was walked down the marriage aisle by her son, Rhodes, 5, during her July 24 wedding in Sun Valley, Idaho, to Cody John, in accordance with photos published by Vogue the following week.
In a single portrait, Emma held onto Rhodes’ arm as they made their method to John, 36, at the top of the aisle. (Emma shares Rhodes together with her former partner Garrett Hedlund.)
“An image is price a thousand words — and on this case, 1,000,000,” the American Horror Story star captioned a picture of the mother-son moment.
Emma and John exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony held on the groom’s family ranch just outside of Sun Valley, which the Aquamarine star called her “glad place.” Just sooner or later prior, the now-newlyweds held a welcome dinner on the town’s iconic Roundhouse eatery on top of Bald Mountain, where attendees rode up the mountain via gondola.
“All the guests took a gondola as much as the highest. I rode up with Cody, my mom [Kelly Cunningham], and my son Rhodes, which was such a pleasant moment of calm before entering into the party,” Emma gushed to the outlet of her pre-wedding festivities. “Everyone left with a L.L. Bean goodie bag customized with ‘hitched’ on the side with a Wythe custom hat inside. It was so fun to see people sporting each the remaining of the weekend. Some even at the marriage!”
Emma and John were toasted by the celebrity friends and family members throughout the weekend, including the actress’ mom and her aunt Julia Roberts.

“I really like you, Aunt Julia,” Emma captioned a Vogue portrait with the Erin Brockovich star, 58, who attended the occasion together with her husband, Danny Moder.
Julia is certainly one of Eric’s sisters, alongside Lisa Roberts Gillian. Eric, 70, has long had a sophisticated relationship along with his daughter and didn’t attend the ceremony.
“I really like my daughter, at all times have, at all times will,” Eric said in an announcement to Us on Monday, July 27, about missing Emma’s nuptials. “It’s perfectly wonderful for her to rejoice nevertheless she wants, with whomever she wants.”
Emma has not publicly addressed her apparent estrangement from her father or his absence from her wedding, which she told Vogue felt “prefer it was out of a book.”
“I feel like I’m at all times in a rush,” Emma noted. “All my friends are at all times in a rush. My family, we’re at all times in a rush, so to feel like people really got off their phones, were present, and that everyone I really like was in a single room, I can’t even capture the sensation of that. I couldn’t have dreamed it higher.”
