Aljamain Sterling has moved one place up the featherweight rankings after UFC Vegas 116.

The previous bantamweight king picked up a dominant decision win over Youssef Zalal on Saturday night.

Three days later, ‘The Funk Master’ has moved one step closer to a shot at 145lb king Alexander Volkanovski.

Aljamain Sterling moves one spot up the rankings

Aljamain Sterling was ranked #5 at featherweight ahead of the UFC Vegas 116 predominant event.

Now, the 36-year-old has leapfrogged Yair Rodríguez into #4, but he still sits behind Lerone Murphy, Diego Lopes, and Movsar Evloev.

Youssef Zalal dropped from #7 to #8 after he tasted defeat for the primary time in nine fights.

Arnold Allen, who is about to face Melquizael Costa at UFC Vegas 117 on May 16, moved ahead of him.

Who else got a rating boost after UFC Vegas 116?

Joselyne Edwards was the massive winner after UFC Vegas 116, as she skyrocketed up the rankings.

By beating top contender Norma Dumont, Edwards climbed eight places up the bantamweight top 15.

Edwards now occupies the #3 spot, while Dumont drops to #4. Moreover, Michelle Montague joins the 135lb rankings at #14 after beating Mayra Bueno Silva, who departs after a fifth UFC loss in a row.

In the lads’s bantamweight division, Raoni Barcelos is once more ranked among the many top 15.

The Brazilian joins at #14, with the person he beat, Montel Jackson, being kicked from the list.
