Ronda Rousey expects to retire for good after her MMA comeback, but perhaps a probability for revenge against the primary woman to beat her could change that.

The previous UFC women’s bantamweight champion can be back contained in the cage on May 16, as she ends a near-decade-long stint away from the game.

Rousey will fight Gina Carano on Netflix, closing out the streaming platform’s very first MMA event after returns for Francis Ngannou and Nate Diaz.

If ‘Rowdy’ decides to proceed her profession beyond that fight, Holly Holm’s coach thinks his fighter would welcome a rematch.

Holly Holm backed to repeat 2015 Ronda Rousey knockout in rematch by coach Mike Winkeljohn

Holm knocked out Rousey at UFC 193, ending the previous Strikeforce champion’s legendary title reign at 135 kilos in Melbourne, Australia.

The pair’s paths haven’t crossed again since then, but they do now sit under the identical promotional banner.

The returning star is making her MMA comeback under the banner of Jake Paul’s Most Useful Promotions. Rousey is hoping to turn out to be MVP’s ‘Dana White’ after the May 16 event.

Holm, meanwhile, signed with MVP after resuming her boxing profession following a departure from the UFC in 2024.

If that does leave the door open to a second dance, Holm’s coach thinks she can be greater than willing to repeat her 2015 KO over Rousey.

“That will be perfect,” Winkeljohn said on Submission Radio. “Ronda’s with MVP, Holly’s fighting for MVP. She’s fighting for the 135-pound world title at the tip of May.

“Afterwards, there’s little question Holly would like to fight Ronda again. Do all of it all over again. Do the identical thing to her. I’d like to do all of it all over again,” he added.

While Rousey focuses on her long-awaited clash with Carano, ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ is gearing as much as face a well-recognized foe within the boxing ring.

Holm lost to Stephanie Han via technical decision after a deep cut to the WBA female lightweight champion’s brow led to a premature end to their title fight in Puerto Rico this past January.

An instantaneous rematch was put together by MVP and can happen in El Paso, Texas, on May 30.
