Layla El recently reflected on dating Cody Rhodes during their time together in WWE, revealing that she all the time believed he was destined to turn into a significant star in the corporate.
Since making his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, Rhodes has firmly established himself as one in all the promotion’s top names, capturing the WWE Championship multiple times and cementing his place at the highest of the industry. In line with Layla, his rise got here as no surprise to those that knew him early in his profession.
Speaking in a brand new interview with Sportshadow Wrestling, Layla opened up about her past relationship with Rhodes and praised his drive and dedication, noting that she could already see star potential in him long before he reached WWE’s foremost event scene. She said,
“I, 100%, saw that. I began dating Cody because I knew he was going to be a star and he had plenty of dreams and all the pieces that he told me that he was going to do, he’s done it. So, congratulations to him because for somebody who can let you know their dreams and so they’re going to make it occur and so they do make it occur, congratulations! So yeah, I mean after all I saw it because I wouldn’t have dated him or been with him if I didn’t see all the pieces that folks will see now. So yeah, I did.”
