The WWE Clash in Italy pay-per-view event was an evening to recollect for Sol Ruca — but not for Becky Lynch.
The previous NXT standout captured her first major championship on WWE’s major roster by defeating Becky Lynch to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship after a hard-fought 14-minute battle at Clash in Italy.
Fans in Turin were firmly behind Sol Ruca throughout the match as she held her own against one of the vital experienced stars in the ladies’s division.
A clip circulating on social media captured Becky Lynch repeatedly saying, “Other way,” while Sol Ruca appeared barely out of position ahead of a turnbuckle leg drop spot.
As shown within the video, Ruca adjusted her positioning before eventually moving into place for Lynch to deliver the move cleanly, following the instructions in real time.
The moment sparked debate online, with some fans criticizing Sol Ruca for appearing unsure of her positioning, especially after a handful of miscues since joining RAW. Others questioned why Lynch needed Ruca positioned so specifically before executing the move.
Nonetheless, the likely explanation is way simpler – Lynch wanted Ruca facing the hard camera so the move would look higher on television. While the sequence took a little bit longer than planned, the spot went off without issue.
