Lower than three weeks after CI Games gave a fall 2026 window to Lords of the Fallen II at Summer Game Fest, the studio has pushed the soulslike sequel into the primary quarter of 2027. CI Games announced the shift in a development update.
In accordance with the studio, the extra time stems from its work with the Gameplay Feedback Team, a gaggle of soulslike veterans on its Launch Creative Team. CI Games said that feedback, paired with its own development plans, surfaced changes it desires to fold in, and that integrating, iterating on, and polishing them calls for more time. The studio added that the brand new window also keeps Lords of the Fallen II out of a crowded holiday release period that features Grand Theft Auto VI.
That fall window was set at Summer Game Fest, where CI Games revealed the katana weapon class and Ysiguen, a biome partly inspired by Asian mythology. A sequel to the 2023 reboot, which has sold greater than 2.5 million copies, Lords of the Fallen II is about to launch concurrently on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
