83-12 months Old Legend Ken Patera Suffers Broken Neck In Gym Accident

Former WWE/WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Patera has reportedly suffered a broken C1 vertebra following a fall on the gym.

Steve Stasiak of Book Pro Wrestlers shared the news in a Facebook post, revealing that the 83-year-old wrestling legend was injured after the accident. The update comes greater than two years after Patera underwent major back surgery, from which he had worked tirelessly to recuperate.

Based on Stasiak, Patera had made impressive progress during his rehabilitation, returning to the gym and losing a big amount of weight as he focused on improving his health. Unfortunately, that recovery has now been interrupted by one other serious injury. He wrote,

“We’re sending our thoughts and prayers to wrestling legend Ken Patera. Ken recently suffered a fall on the gym that resulted in a broken C1. The news is particularly difficult because Ken had fought so hard to get back on his feet after major back surgery about two and a half years ago. Friends say he had made remarkable progress, returned to the gym, and lost a big amount of weight as he worked to enhance his health.

“Anyone who has followed Ken Patera’s life knows determination has at all times been one in all his defining traits. It’s what made him one in all the hardest competitors of his generation, and it’s the identical strength we hope carries him through this latest challenge. Everyone at Book Pro Wrestlers is keeping Ken in our thoughts. Please join us in wishing him strength, healing, and a full recovery.”

We wish Ken Patera a speedy and complete recovery.
