WWE Superstar Logan Paul is hardly impressed by the perceived injuries in soccer, believing that some players ‘sell’ being hurt higher than wrestlers.
On Twitter, Paul shared his view on the 2026 FIFA World Cup and shared his thoughts on players who showcase their ‘theater’ skills on the pitch.
“A lot theatre. These guys sell being “hurt” higher than a few of my peers within the WWE.”
Strangely, Paul’s take about ‘selling’ got here immediately after he praised soccer players for being “extremely durable” in a highly physical sport.
“Soccer is wildly physical. These players push, shove, and beat the shit out of one another & plenty of it goes unnoticed by the refs. You gotta be extremely durable to thrive on the pitch.”
Paul’s comments come after Team USA were eliminated from the FIFA World Cup with a 4-1 loss to Belgium, who will now advance to the quarter-finals.
Controversy surrounded the sport as President Donald Trump interfered ahead of the match and spoke to the FIFA President about Folarin Balogun.
Trump’s efforts got Balogun’s red card lifted, meaning he was allowed to play within the Belgium game, the primary time a national leader has interfered in this way.
A global backlash to the U.S’s actions resulted in several nations rooting for Belgium and calls for FIFA President Gianni Infantino to resign.
Paul debuted in WWE in 2021 and made his in-ring debut the next yr. He’s a former United States Champion and RAW Tag Team Champion.
