Indian cricket icon Rohit Sharma has once more proven why he’s just as popular for his off-field charisma as he’s for his explosive batting. As Team India touched down in Cardiff ahead of their second One-Day International (ODI) against England, the veteran opener treated eager supporters to his classic, unfiltered “bhaiya” wit.
A video going viral on Instagram and other social media platforms shows a big crowd surrounding the Indian team bus to see their favorite players. As fans asked for autographs and photos, a couple of enthusiastic supporters approached the Indian batting star and requested:
“Rohit sir, autograph please! And may we click an image too?”
Staying true to his calm and cheerful nature, Rohit stopped, smiled, and jokingly set one easy condition:
“Ek hi cheez. Ya autograph ya photo.” (Just one thing. Either an autograph or a photograph.)

His witty response made the gang laugh. Despite the playful condition, the “Hitman” happily signed autographs and smiled for fans, once more showing why his humble and friendly nature is admired by cricket fans world wide.
“He Would Go To The Room And Think About It”: Abhishek Nayar On Rohit Sharma
Former India cricketer Abhishek Nayar believes Rohit Sharma would have been unhappy with the way in which he got out in the primary ODI against England. He said the previous India captain would have reflected on his dismissal after returning to his room.
India and England will meet within the second ODI in Cardiff on Thursday, July 16. Rohit managed 11 runs off 21 balls before Sam Curran dismissed him while attempting to play an aggressive shot during India’s six-wicket victory within the series opener in Birmingham.
Speaking on JioHotstar’s Game Plan, Nayar said Rohit would likely have reviewed the footage of his innings and concluded that he needed to spend more time on the crease before attempting big shots.
“He will likely be disillusioned with the way in which he got out. There will likely be reflection. He would go to the room and give it some thought. He watches lots of videos, so he’ll watch his videos. And He’ll concentrate to his mindset. If he would have seen the T20 series and after playing this game, one thing he would have realized is that you might have to offer yourself time,” he said.
