Former UFC fighter Mike Perry currently finds himself a component of the Middleweight division of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), where he can also be the King of Violence champion.
A former UFC star, Perry has done significantly well for himself since leaving the MMA promotion in 2021. Shortly after departing UFC, Perry joined BKFC and rose to prominence there. He also defeated Nate Diaz at MVP MMA 1 on Netflix, and has even boxed against Jake Paul, where he lost by TKO within the sixth round.
Recently appearing on the Ariel Helwani Show, Perry opened up and began calling out celebrities for a fight. While Perry first landed on NFL legend Tom Brady, he quickly modified focus to the Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk. “Let me fight CM Punk. UFC, bring me back. I’ll fight CM Punk within the UFC,” said Perry.
Punk is a UFC veteran himself. He competed twice within the UFC. He lost each times, first by submission to Mickey Gall in 2016 and by unanimous decision to Mike Jackson in 2018. The second decision was overturned to a no contest after Jackson failed a drug test for THC.
Despite Perry calling out Punk, a fight between the duo seems unlikely right away. With each UFC and WWE under the banner of TKO, Perry finds himself now not a component of either promotion. With Perry’s non-UFC status and Punk’s busy WWE schedule, a fight between them is sort of unattainable. CM Punk can also be scheduled to face Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam 2026.
