Gypsy Rose Blanchard-Anderson is addressing the backlash she has received from some after she was released from prison last month.
As chances are you’ll know, Gypsy Rose spent seven years in prison after pleading guilty to her involvement in her mother’s murder. She was released on parole on December 28, 2023.
The now 32-year-old has received an amazing amount of support as she’s believed to be a victim of Munchausen by proxy, a physiological disorder that investigators claim her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, had.
On the flip side, she has also received some backlash, as many can’t get past the undeniable fact that she helped to plan the murder of her mother. Now, Gypsy Rose is addressing that backlash in a brand new Instagram post.
Gypsy Rose Says To ‘Ignore The Haters’ Amid Backlash
“Those that decide to stay ignorant about my personal growth as an individual and place labels on me DO NOT influence my happiness,” Gypsy Rose wrote in her latest social media post, adding, “Spread love NOT hate.”
The caption was posted alongside a photograph that read, “Keep calm and ignore the haters” in addition to a second photo that said, “Living an excellent life really is one of the best revenge.”
Fans of the 32-year-old immediately backed her up, commenting words of support.
“Absolutely LOVE this queen!!! H— ya! So happy with you!” one user wrote.
One other wrote, “Baby girl, you’re a sweet spirit and soul. Nobody can take that away from you. It’s who you’re deep inside. You’ll be able to’t fake that. Try to ignore those which might be haters. They are frequently miserable souls that need love and forgiveness. I like you!”
One in all Gypsy’s followers expressed how “proud ” they’re of her for standing up for herself and being true to who she is. “Just keep spreading awareness on signs of Munchausen by proxy! So people won’t must undergo what you probably did. Love you retain your head up,” they commented.
As The Blast has previously reported, Dee Dee Blanchard had convinced her daughter, friends, members of the family, and doctors that Gypsy Rose had suffered from various symptoms, diseases, and disorders.
A few of the medical diagnoses that Dee Dee claimed Gypsy had received included asthma, epilepsy, vision impairments, hearing impairments, and being paralyzed from the waist down — none of which Gypsy actually had.
Gypsy Rose Receives Tremendous Amount Of Support
Fans continued to flood the comments section to point out support for Gypsy, saying things reminiscent of “Love you Gypsy” and “You understand the reality & you already know you will have a tremendous family, friends and husband.”
One other simply expressed, “Well said Gypsy!”
As you already know, Gypsy Rose Blanchard-Anderson was released from prison last month after serving 85% of her 10-year sentence for pleading guilty to second-degree murder of her own mother.
Following her release, she has been advocating for victims of Munchausen by proxy and of abuse. “I would like to be a voice for the voiceless. I would like to come back out and tell people that is who I’m, because of this I’m doing this,” she told Entertainment Tonight, adding, “It’s necessary to me. It’s near my heart,” referring to those that are victims of Munchausen by proxy syndrome.
