Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay Thalapathy has been making headlines each personally and professionally. As he campaigns extensively ahead of the Tamil Nadu elections, fans have had the prospect to satisfy him in person, with social media flooded with pictures and videos. One such clip shows Vijay Thalapathy reacting to a fan holding a framed photo of him along with his estranged wife, Sangeeta Sornalingam.
Vijay Thalapathy Receives Wedding Pic With Sangeetha Sornaligam From Fan
The video contains a young fan taking a selfie while showcasing a custom-made picture. The frame depicts the late actor-politician Vijayakanth holding a young Vijay’s hand, alongside Sangeeta, dressed as a bride.

The fan approaches Vijay’s van and raises the framed photo for everybody to see. Vijay notices it amongst the numerous other pictures fans display, points it out to his security, and requests the fan handy it over. He then holds it up for the gang, pausing briefly to reflect on the image before passing it to his team.
Fans Respond To Vijay’s Response
Because the video circulated, fans were greatly surprised by Vijay’s response. Some expressed surprise that he would accept an image featuring himself and his estranged wife amongst many others. There have been others who speculated that he recognised the image due to Vijayakanth.
One fan reasoned, “He told his security that Vijayakanth is his ‘annan’ (elder brother),” but others believed he accepted the photo since it included Sangeeta. “Men in love >>>>,” commented one, while one other said, “That is true love from VJ to his wife.” A surprised fan asked, “Wait, is she Sangeetha Anni (sister-in-law)?” and lots of shared the clip with mind-blown emojis.
Sangeeta Sornalingam Files For Divorce
In late February, news broke that Sangeeta had filed for divorce from Vijay on the Chengalpattu family court in Chennai. The divorce petition accused Vijay of infidelity, alleging he had an ‘adulterous relationship’ with an unnamed actress. Shortly after, Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan attended a marriage reception in Chennai in matching outfits, sparking further rumours. Vijay was also accused of being ‘emotionally withdrawn’ since 2021. He forced Sangeeta to live individually, in accordance with the divorce documents.
About Jana Nayagan Controversy
Meanwhile, Vijay’s upcoming film, Jana Nayagan, was postponed from its planned January release resulting from delays in CBFC certification. Recently, HD prints of the film were leaked online, whilst the production company, KVN Productions, sought legal relief. Vijay attributes his recent challenges to opposition strategies geared toward undermining him.
