Emilie Kiser publicly reacted after parenting influencer Kelly Hopton-Jones revealed that she ran over her young son along with her automotive.
Hopton-Jones, 36, took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 15, to deal with the incident, writing, “Today has been the worst day of our lives. Life can change within the literal blink of a watch. A real nightmare for a parent happened to us today.”
Hopton-Jones recalled getting help from her husband when packing up their automotive for a fast trip with their daughter to get donuts.
“He helped Lily into the automotive and was waving goodbye between our automotive and Henry, who was within the garage. In a matter of seconds, our son was run over by our automotive. I used to be driving,” she wrote. “Our neighbors stepped in immediately and took Lily, and we rushed to the emergency room.”
Hopton-Jones confirmed that X-rays and CT scans showed no sign of injuries to Henry’s “organs or spinal cord” or his legs, chest and neck.
“Neurological exam has been reassuring with no signs of head injury or impairment,” she noted. “He does have fractures to his pelvis that may take time to heal, in addition to a couple of abrasions. What stays with me is the doctor saying: ‘He’s hurt, but that is something he can get better from.’ A real miracle.”
She added: “We’re in shock. We’re so sad. But we’re so incredibly grateful. … I do know this has modified us.”
In response, Kiser, 27, replied, “I’m so incredibly sorry ❤️🩹.” Kiser’s show of support comes after the influencer’s eldest son died in May 2025 after he was found unconscious within the pool on the family’s Arizona home.
Emilie’s husband, Brady Kiser, was at the home with each of their sons when the fatal incident occurred. While authorities submitted a criminal charge advice for Brady, 28, no charges were ever filed.
“Lack of this magnitude feels not possible to place into words,” Emilie wrote via Instagram in August 2025. “I’ve spent days, weeks, months trying to seek out them and likewise take the time I’ve needed to digest the lack of my baby.”
She continued: “Trigg is our baby and our greatest friend. The sunshine and spirit he brought into this world was vibrant, pure, joyful and undeniable. We miss him every second of every single day and continuing forward often feels unbearable. I never thought we might experience grief in this fashion or the pain of losing him so suddenly.”
On the time, Emilie took “full accountability as Trigg’s mother,” adding, “I do know I must have done more to guard him. One in all the toughest lessons I carry is that a everlasting pool fence could have saved his life, and it’s something I won’t ever overlook again. I hope amidst this pain, Trigg’s story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the identical loss.”
