As reported by The Blast, Hulu shut down production on the present season of “SLOMW” after allegations of domestic violence surfaced.

“They should not filming,” a source shared. “Taylor [Frankie Paul] has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they’re going to see what happens. Until that resolves, they’re off.”

Following the news, a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirmed there was an open “domestic assault investigation” against Paul and Mortensen. They explained that each parties made allegations against one another and claimed the incident occurred in late February 2026.

Shortly after production was paused on the explosive reality series, a video showing Paul attacking Mortensen during a 2023 incident was shared online.

Within the video, Paul strikes Mortensen before pulling his hair. “This known as physical abuse. That is all you do,” Mortensen said within the video. “It’s the one thing you already know easy methods to do is hurt me. You think that that is OK? It’s not OK. Holy sh-t.”

The video also shows Paul launching two heavy metal chairs at Mortensen, certainly one of which later hit her 5-year-old daughter in the top.

The video’s release prompted a flurry of backlash, prompting ABC and Disney to take motion, ultimately leading to the cancellation of her season of “The Bachelorette.”

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we’ve got made the choice to not move forward with the brand new season of The Bachelorette, [starring Paul], at the moment, and our focus is on supporting the family,” the corporate said in an announcement.

Paul’s spokesperson shared an announcement after her season of “The Bachelorette” was pulled from the schedule, saying the truth star was “grateful” for the support.

Elsewhere within the statement, they alleged that Paul had been “silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse in addition to threats of retaliation” for years before saying she’s finally “gaining the strength to face her accuser” head-on.

“There are too many ladies who’re suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to allow them to move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, looking for support, and preparing to own and share her story,” Paul’s rep added.

Mortensen can also be facing consequences, based on The Blast. As a result of the character of the allegations surrounding him and Paul, Hulu edited the 33-year-old out of the upcoming season of “Vanderpump Villa,” which he filmed with fellow DadTok stars Jordan Ngatikaura, Zac Affleck, Jacob Neeley, Jace Terry, and Chase McWhorter.

Mortensen addressed the headlines about him and his ex prior to Hulu’s decision, sharing a sentiment much like hers. “I’m specializing in our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the identical,” he told PEOPLE.
