Jayati Bhatia On Harsh Working Conditions In TV

Speaking concerning the working conditions when she began her profession, Jayati Bhatia shared, “Makeup rooms samajh lo, washroom samajh lo, ab toh hum log kaafi higher situation mein hain. Tab bahut saare aise studios the jahan sirf ek hi washroom hota tha, ladke aur ladkiyon ke liye same. Kuch log din mein 12 ghante shoot kar rahe hote the, kuch raat mein 12 ghante. Toh washroom hamesha ganda rehta tha. Aaj sochti hoon toh lagta hai, oh, how did I even manage?”

She continued, “Matlab poora din washroom nahi ja sakte the. Subah costume pehne se pehle ek baar jaana hota tha, phir beech mein kabhi probability mile toh. Body hai, control toh nahi hota. Aur jaise hi call time aata tha ki falane studio mein shoot hai, mera dil doob jaata tha — ‘Yaar, wahan kyun?’ Poora din kaise niklega?”

Jayati Reveals Film City Studio Had Washroom Timings

Throughout the interview, she said, “Film City ke Studio No. 8 mein toh proper timing hoti thi — 10:30 baje jeep jayegi upar office ke washroom tak. ‘Tu chalegi? Tu chalegi?’ sab ek doosre ko poochte the. Phir 2 ghante baad next probability, phir lunch ke baad. Even in the event you were bursting, wait karna padta tha. Ek bande ke liye gaadi nahi jaati thi, group banana padta tha.”

Continued, she added, “Studio kaafi neeche tha aur office upar, toh hum log slots bana ke jaate the — 10:30, lunch ke baad, 4:30, 6:30. Aaj bhi yaad karke paseena aa jata hai. Kuch studios jab builders ne le liye aur band ho gaye, mera mann karta tha mithai baantun — thank God, wahan dobara shoot nahi karna padega.”

Jayati Bhatia Shared Makeup Rooms With Smriti Irani, Sakshi Tanwar, Shweta Tiwari During TV Serial Shooting

Jayati Bhatia opened up on sharing makeup rooms, “Baad mein, Kasautii aur Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii ke time par thoda higher hua, lekin tab bhi makeup rooms share karte the — 3-4 log, kabhi 5 log ek room mein. Par maza bahut aata tha. Isi wajah se mujhe set par power naps lene ki aadat ho gayi — wahi sabse peaceful neend aati hai.”

The actress continued, “Hum ek saath 2-3 shows karte the. Important lead nahi hote the toh multiple shows mil jaate the. Ek set se doosre set, character change karte rehte the. Din bahut lambe hote the. Aaj sochti hoon toh lagta hai 2003 se 2008 tak primary properly soyi hi nahi. Sirf 45 minutes ke liye ghar aati thi — nahaane, brush karne, chai peene aur wapas shoot par. Koi pack-up time nahi hota tha.”

Concluding, she said, “Ab koi bole toh primary nahi kar paungi. Par tab young the, challenges the, loans aur EMIs the. Tab sirf kaam aur paise dikhte the. Saath mein thodi luxury, assets, aur sabse necessary — apni pehchaan mil rahi thi. Log aapko character ke naam se pehchante the, aap kisi ki beti ya wife nahi, aap khud hote ho. Wahi jazba aapko itni energy deta hai ki aap sab kar jaate ho.”
