“He’s such a superb man,” Sarah said of her former spouse on a 2023 episode of Good Morning Britain. “I believe the highlight needs to return off him and let him get on together with his life to rebuild. He’s a excellent grandfather.”

Andrew was accused of sexual misconduct in 2019 and vehemently denied the accusations. He stepped back from his duties as a senior working royal on the time, which was finalized in 2025 when Andrew’s brother King Charles III formally stripped his sibling of his titles.

Eugenie was diagnosed with scoliosis when she was 12 years old.

“My mum caught my scoliosis early and I used to be lucky enough to get the assistance I needed at 12 years old,” Eugenie wrote via Instagram in June 2024. “I thank her a lot for that and likewise thank her for the arrogance to be happy with my scar. She removed all of the stigma around having scoliosis for me by confidently showing people what I’d been through and it took all of the fear and anxiety out of being different at such a young age. I’m ceaselessly grateful and need everyone to be happy with their scars.”

The subsequent 12 months, Virginia Giuffre accused Andrew of sexual assault when she was 17 years old and filed a lawsuit against him. The previous Duke of York vehemently denied the allegations before he and Giuffre settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

As Andrew navigated fallout from the scandal, his daughters remained quiet.

“Eugenie’s husband and Beatrice’s fiancé [Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi] are standing by them and are doing every part they will to distract the ladies from the situation and calm them down,” a source told Us in December 2019. “There have been scandals surrounding Andrew and Sarah Ferguson previously, and while that is the worst yet, they know that marrying into the royal family comes with its ups and downs.”

In keeping with the insider, the York princesses were “going through hell” but remained in touch with Andrew.

“Bea is talking to her dad most days,” the source added.

Beatrice and Edoardo threw a lavish engagement party that very same month, though Andrew was absent from the celebration.

2021

Andrew and Sarah’s family expanded when Eugenie and Jack welcomed their first baby, son August in February 2021.

“Having not had my very own mother around, I’ve at all times been determined to be a really present mother with my children, and I do know Eugenie might be the identical with hers,” Sarah told Us in January 2021 of her daughter’s pregnancy. “She is incredibly empathetic and might be an incredible mother. She is a really strong and determined person, at all times in search of the reality in all she does.”

Eugenie later welcomed son Ernest in June 2023, while Beatrice gave birth to daughters Sienna and Athena in September 2021 and January 2025, respectively. (Beatrice can also be stepmother of her husband’s son from a previous relationship.)

Sarah often babysits her grandchildren, who call her “GG.”

“While Beatrice was away in Jordan [for the royal wedding], I used to be allowed to have Sienna over to play and to stick with me,” Sarah said on her “Tea Talks” podcast in June 2023. “It was very nice. The last couple of days, I’ve managed to actually have a bond [with her], and guess what my bond is? I gave her a bit sip of tea out of my teacup!”

2023

Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023 and underwent a mastectomy. In January 2024, the writer was also diagnosed with skin cancer.

“The entire York family has rallied round, and I couldn’t have gotten through it without them,” she told Platinum magazine in July 2024. “My girls particularly have been rock solid of their support. We at all times call ourselves ‘the tripod’ as we’re there to prop one another up through thick and thin, and so they have definitely demonstrated that in recent months.”

Beatrice revealed on This Morning months earlier in May 2024 that her mom was “all within the clear.”

“She’s such an outstanding icon,” Beatrice said. “As a mum she’s been amazing, she’s been through a lot and her sense of purpose and resilience really keeps me going. At 64 she’s thriving; she’s been through a lot, but I believe really now she’s coming into her own.”

2026

Andrew was arrested for alleged misconduct in public office in February 2026 after being accused of sharing confidential intel with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was released from jail inside hours, while his daughters retreated from the general public eye.

“Eugenie and Beatrice have had to alter their upcoming public-facing plans and future plans this 12 months,” a source told Us in March 2026. “They aren’t as fearful about Andrew being arrested and going to jail, but they’re still horrified that he’s involved on this and worry there could possibly be more to return.”

In keeping with the insider, Andrew’s scandal has “been devastating.”

“They will not be actually planning on doing any public events within the near future due to every part surrounding their parents because they know that might be the main target,” a second insider told Us.

The sisters skipped the royal family’s Easter Sunday service in April 2026 and plan to miss the Royal Ascot horse race in June 2026.
