Even though it’s been nearly two years to the day since Black Myth: Wukong, the debut console and PC title from Chinese developer Game Science, was released, the sport has never left the minds of video game pirates.
That is because, resulting from its Denuvo anti-tamper DRM protection, it quickly became probably the most highly-requested titles by pirates hoping that it will at some point lose that badge and may very well be cracked by nefarious means. Unfortunately for them, that day has yet to come back.
As a substitute, voices38, a number one member of the piracy community and one who’s advanced methods have managed to interrupt Denuvo-locked games, has announced that they’ve managed to crack Black Myth: Wukong, fulfilling certainly one of the largest wishes of the piracy community.

With Black Myth: Wukong officially cracked and making its way underground, it joins Doom: The Dark Ages and Resident Evil Requiem as titles from each of 2024, 2025 and 2026 to have Denuvo and manage to be cracked, all of which by voices38.
Though each of those titles had been bypassed via the Hypervisor method, an increasingly popular workaround that sacrifices some security in exchange for taking part in pirated software, the crack by voices38 represents a real breakthrough for the title.
Black Myth: Wukong Was Technically Cracked Before
Making the wait that much harder for pirates was the undeniable fact that Black Myth: Wukong technically was already cracked. Nevertheless, its files were never deposited online, leaving pirates on the periphery of the achievement.
Back in October, Maurice Heumann, a one who’s done extensive research into Denuvo anti-piracy technology, revealed that that they had managed to crack Black Myth: Wukong on their very own, sharing proof on social media.
Nevertheless, the sport was not released online, with the researcher citing safety and privacy, amongst other rationales, as to why they will not release the total files. They did, nonetheless, share the tools they used, together with the research they’d accomplished on Denuvo.
Unlike Heumann, the largest players within the piracy scene don’t operate with their real name or any identifying information.
That also didn’t stop pirates from being upset, though they quickly moved on. Now, they will play the sport nonetheless they see fit.
