Dricus du Plessis suggests filmed gym fight after Caio Borralho flies to South Africa for call out

Dricus du Plessis appears tired of making his comeback against Caio Borralho.

The previous middleweight champion hasn’t fought since losing his title to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319 in August 2025.

Caio Borralho desires to welcome Dricus du Plessis back to the Octagon. The Brazilian has flown to South Africa to call out ‘StillKnocks’, who offered him the possibility to squash their beef outside of the UFC.

Dricus du Plessis offers to spar Caio Borralho

On Monday, #5-ranked middleweight contender Caio Borralho shared a video of himself in South Africa.

“4 callouts, no answer… so I got here to Johannesburg myself,” he captioned the post.

“WHERE ARE YOU, BOY? @dricusduplessis.”

Within the clip, Borralho talks to a statue about his pursuit of a fight with South Africa’s biggest MMA star.

“Where is Dricus? Do where he’s? No words from him,” he says.

“I used to be in Brazil, and now I’m here on the lookout for Dricus. I’m in Johannesburg, South Africa, and I just cannot find him. No response.”

Borralho got the response he was after when Du Plessis left a message in his comment section.

“Come to @cit_performanceinstitute, then we spar. We are able to record it if you happen to want,” the ex-185lb titleholder wrote.

Borralho seemingly turned down the sparring offer by pushing for an actual fight within the UFC.

“Stop being just a little kid, just sign the contract, bro,” he replied.

Du Plessis shut down talk of an actual fight, while once more offering Borralho the possibility to face him during his trip to South Africa.

“What contract?” DDP wrote back. “You truly think you’re within the conversation?

“Come to the gym, I’m like a 30 [minute] drive from you, let’s see if you happen to’re a minimum of man enough to indicate up, we start at 9AM Friday.”
