All Elite Wrestling publicly showed its support for Rebel following her heartbreaking announcement.
Tanea Brooks, known to fans as Rebel, recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with terminal ALS. In sharing the news, Brooks expressed gratitude to AEW and company president Tony Khan for standing by her throughout her medical journey. She also asked for prayers, hoping for a peaceful journey and passing.
During this week’s episode of AEW Collision, commentator Tony Schiavone delivered an emotional message on behalf of the corporate, acknowledging Brooks’ situation and sending well wishes. He said,
“You most likely know by social media that one in every of our advantageous athletes has some very serious health problems. She announced it this week on social media. We wish Rebel to know you’re an enormous a part of AEW. We’re serious about you at once, we’re praying for you, that you’re going to pull through this. We got quite a lot of signs within the stands here tonight that claims, ‘Rebel, we love you’ and ‘pray for Rebel,’ and we actually do agree with that as well. Rebel, we hope you’ll recover… My dear, we’re serious about you. A beautiful young lady.”
Brooks has been a part of AEW since 2019. Alongside her on-screen role as an ally to Britt Baker, she has also worked behind the scenes as a makeup and hair stylist.
