Tony Schiavone Says He’ll ‘Never Forget’ This Recent AEW Dynamite Moment

Last month, Darby Allin won the AEW World Championship, marking his first reign and the primary time that specific title has modified hands on TV since 2022. In response to Tony Schiavone on “What Happened When,” the predominant event is one that may follow him for a very long time.

“It’s one among those moments that I’ll always remember, since it was so well-done, it was so special, and it was a thread that we had through our entire program,” Schiavone said. “To see Darby Allin win the world title and all the blokes come out and rejoice with him, and the best way he’d done it, I just think it is a thing that I’ll always remember.”

The April 15 edition of “AEW Dynamite” featured a running throughline leading as much as the predominant event between Allin and MJF. Ultimately, Allin bested his fellow “Pillar” in only just a few short minutes, and the show closed with Allin being joined in celebration by Sting, Brody King, and a contingent of the AEW locker room.

Allin then made his first successful defense of the AEW World Championship against Tommaso Ciampa on the next episode of “Dynamite,” followed by one other defense against King the week after. In response to Schiavone, that is something fans should expect to proceed in the approaching weeks.

“Darby’s the sort of kid that is not going to rest and can all the time defend the title, unlike a man like MJF,” he stated.

With Allin continuing to defend the title regularly, though denying MJF a rematch, it stays to be seen how long Allin stays champion. The corporate’s next pay-per-view is AEW Double or Nothing, scheduled for May 24, 2026, at Louis Armstrong Stadium within the Queens borough of Latest York City.
