Beyoncé first announced her “Renaissance” project in 2022 as a part of a planned album trilogy. The record leaned heavily into disco and dance music while paying homage to House Music and the Black pioneers who helped shape the genre.

She followed it up with the country-inspired “Cowboy Carter” in 2024. If the pattern continues, many fans consider the third installment could explore one more genre, with rock music emerging as some of the popular theories online.

During her appearance on TODAY, Tina played coy when asked concerning the release date for the highly anticipated project.

“I could inform you, but I’d should kill you,” she joked.
