The Latest Day isn’t any longer a component of WWE, and plenty of have been left to wonder if a move to AEW may very well be in store for the pair of wrestling veterans.
On a recent edition of the “Contained in the Ring” podcast, Swerve Strickland shared that he has already spoken to Kofi Kingston because the Latest Day’s exit.
Strickland praised Kingston, calling him “the epitome of professionalism” and the proper role model for wrestlers to base themselves on.
When asked if he’d wish to see Kingston and Xavier Woods in AEW, Strickland said he’d love for it to occur, but hopes the pair do what’s best for themselves.
That features potentially taking a five-year hiatus, in line with Strickland, who added that it can be crucial that the Latest Day know their value.
Woods and Kingston reportedly left WWE after being offered restructured contracts by TKO, and turning down what’s believed to be lower-paying deals.
Kingston signed with WWE in 2006 and debuted on the important roster in 2008. Woods inked his contract in 2010 and debuted on WWE RAW in 2014 after a stint in NXT.
