AEW star Maya World is mourning the heartbreaking lack of her brother, Jatwane Anton Wilson, following a fatal crash in Texas.
Based on a report from WFAA, Wilson, 25, of Fate, Texas, died on June 7, 2026, after being struck by a Mercedes SUV on State Highway 205 near the Kaufman and Rockwall county line. Authorities said Wilson had been outside a disabled vehicle before entering a lane of traffic. He was pronounced dead on the scene, while the SUV driver was not injured. The incident stays under investigation.
Following the tragedy, Maya World shared an emotional message on social media, reflecting on the impact her brother had on each her life and wrestling profession. She wrote,
“my brother is the explanation I watched wrestling for the primary time ever. we were only one 12 months apart, every little thing I do in my profession from here in out can be in his memory. god rest his soul 🤍 rest in peace brother 😭😭”
A GoFundMe campaign was also launched by Jatwane’s older sister, Dashundra Wilson, to assist cover funeral expenses and support the family during this difficult time. Within the fundraiser description, Dashundra explained the sudden nature of the tragedy and the family’s efforts to offer Jatwane the burial he deserves. She wrote,
“Hello, my name is Dashundra Wilson, i’m the older sister of Jatwane Wilson. Within the early morning of June seventh, 2026, my family life had eternally been altered unknowingly. As this comes unexpectedly, we’re starting a fund for funeral arrangements to offer my brother the correct burial he deserves, being so loved by so many. Absolutely ANYTHING helps, and can go towards easing the unexpected expenses my family is now facing. Thanks prematurely.”
