West Wilson desires to set the record straight on rumors that he and Amanda Batula were fleeing the country amid the Summer House season 10 reunion with their recent Italy trip.
“Did you see that everybody said that, because I went to a marriage in Italy with Amanda, everyone’s like, ‘They’re fleeing the country,’” West, 31, joked in the course of the Friday, June 5, episode of his “Show Me Something” podcast.
The Bravo star did make clear that folks “obviously” said that before they knew he and Amanda were traveling for a marriage.
“Whoever took the image of us within the customs line on the Rome airport, I do know exactly what you appear like. Blonde woman,” West continued. “It’s, like, us standing with backpacks. It’s so silly.”
He added, “My cousin got married, so I went.”
Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi shared the photo of West and Amanda on the airport on May 26 together with a second message claiming that the couple were spotted at a restaurant in Rome.
West continued to deal with rumors concerning the trip on Friday after eagle-eyed fans appeared to clock that Amanda had taken out her bank card and paid for considered one of their meals in Italy.
“That’s f***ing crazy, they watched her use her bank card?” West said. “I handled the flights and the hotels, motherf***ers. How’s that sound?”
He added, “I grew up in a house where my family split the f***ing bills.”
West and Amanda’s Italy trip got here because the Summer House season 10 reunion began airing on May 26. The pair found themselves in the recent seat for many of the reunion after details about their relationship were revealed.

West and Amanda released a joint statement on March 31 confirming that they’re dating. Amanda was previously married to fellow Summer House costar Kyle Cooke, while West dated her best friend Ciara Miller in 2023.
While they’re officially back in America, photos and videos from West and Amanda’s recent trip abroad have continued to go viral.
DeuxMoi posted one other photo on Friday which showed West and Amanda dining in Sicily, Italy. One image showed Amanda seemingly spitting into West’s open mouth. He backed away shortly after.
Fans have had numerous thoughts about West and Amanda’s romance, but actor Jerry O’Connell — an enormous Bravo fan — shared a distinct take last month.
“I’m about to get eviscerated,” he wrote within the comments section of the airport photo. “What if these kids make it? Also, kinda wish to go to a watch party in LA, for reunion. Anyone have info? I can even go to someone’s house/apt and convey White Claws.”
