Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India will begin their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on Sunday against Pakistan of their opening group-stage match at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Ahead of the sport, the BCCI released a video showing senior men’s team players sending their best wishes to the Women in Blue.
Former captain Rohit Sharma said:
“They’ve been playing really good cricket for the previous few years now. I do know in T20 cricket, they’ve come pretty close. This time around, I would like them to go all the best way.”
Head coach Gautam Gambhir further added, “I’m sure you’re going to make 140 Crore Indians proud. Not many get the chance to represent the country on the world stage.”
India’s ODI and Test skipper Shubman Gill stated, “You guys have done it before, and also you’ll do it again.”
T20I captain Shreyas Iyer encouraged the team to play with positive intent, saying, “Be fearless, ruthless, and just play to win.”

India Hold Upper Hand Ahead Of Pakistan Clash
India will look so as to add the T20 World Cup title to their ODI World Cup success from last yr and carry a robust 13-3 record against Pakistan into the match.
