Islam Makhachev’s ventures transcend just his mixed martial arts profession.

Makhachev’s dominant win over Jack Della Maddalena last November saw him crowned the eleventh two-division champion in UFC history. It also marked his sixth consecutive important event at a numbered card.

And the business looks set to grow for Makhachev, who also disclosed plans for expansion within the Middle East and Central Asia.

“I plan to (expand),” Makhachev said. “There have already been requests for a franchise — to open in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Dubai.

“We’ll develop it, because everyone likes this sort of energetic sport.”

His important focus will still be on the Octagon, where a primary defense of the welterweight title is fast approaching.

Makhachev shall be challenged by Ian Machado Garry within the important event of UFC 330 on August 15, because the promotion heads back to the town of Philadelphia.
