What’s occurring with Zach Werenski and Kirill Marchenko?

Seravalli: “I do, to the perfect of my knowledge, very necessary to indicate here that Zach Warenski has not requested a trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Nevertheless, what has grow to be clear is that if the Blue Jackets were to ask the query as as to whether or not Werenski wants to increase when he’s eligible one 12 months from now, I’m told that Zach Werenski can be non-committal at this point.
And so the Jackets have an enormous query to ask themselves, are we going to tear off the band aid now, and with the long list of suitors that will like to get in on Zach Werenski on this most crazy NHL offseason. Will we try this or will we attempt to improve our team within the here and now.

But this also comes at the identical exact juncture for them, where apparently that’s a really similar answer coming from Kirill Marchenko. Which is why there was much interest in each of those Blue Jackets players this week. Columbus at the middle of a juicy summer.

@Nylanderthews: Pierre LeBrun on Werenski: “The one Canadian team that the Team USA Olympic gold medal winner might consider, by the best way, is the Toronto Maple Leafs.”
@Nylanderthews: LeBrun said that Blue Jackets GM Don Waddell has been telling teams early in these talks that he’s not all for futures, he wants NHL players.
Pierre LeBrun: There will probably be at the least a dozen teams that can inquire about Werenski. Early teams interested include Dallas, Carolina and Philadelphia.
NHL Rumors: Kraken, Canadiens, Leafs, Sabres, Kings, Penguins, Geese, and Canucks
Jeff Svoboda: GM Waddell said yesterday that he heard from Marchenko’s agent yesterday and that they hope to speak more next week. He saw the report and didn’t need to comment. Waddell can even be meeting with Werenski and agents after the draft.
